Doubts about LPG

In fact, all prejudices against LPG are caused by ignorance, as it is a new technology.

Doubts about LPG

Not all cars can be equipped with a LPG system.
To avoid damage to direct injection engines like TSI or FSI, they are never equipped with LPG systems.

LPG means power loss.
Theoretically, the LPG power return is 7-10% lower than that of petrol, which, after equipment installation and adjustment, results in a practically insensible power loss of 3-4%

Gas smell penetrates the car's passenger compartment
There are three possible causes for gas smell in the passenger compartment. First, the equipment's generation. This problem used to occur with older LPG equipment due to its injection process. With 4th generation equipment, the injection system is analogous to petrol injection system. That eliminates the possibility of gas leakage from the engine and gas smell penetrating the passenger compartment. Second, a low quality installation: in winter, due to temperature extremes, expansion and contraction of pipe joints at different speeds occur, which can cause momentary gas smell in the passenger compartment. Third, routine situations: the gas smell is caused by small amounts of gas that leak in the air when removing the fuel nozzle from the fill opening.

LPG damages the engine
Gas has a higher combustion temperature (1100°C) than petrol (950°C). For cars manufactured in Japan, engines are generally made from softer materials, which on a longer run cause valve damage due to higher gas combustion temperature. To avoid this, valve protection systems are installed (additional lubrication).

LPG is dangerous
LPG has a lower ignition risk than petrol; and LPG is not toxic, as opposite to petrol. LPG equipment comes with factory-installed multi-level safety systems, such as high heat, pressure and shock protected tanks, which prevent the equipment from causing dangerous situations.

For your car, the LPG equipment installation will cost: 0 EUR / 0 LVL

VAT included.

+ The price may differ for cars with turbo or boxer engines

+ Locating the LPG filler under the fuel filler lid: extra 50 EUR

Due to engine specification, needs to be installed for the following car makes:

  • Toyota
  • Honda
  • Subaru
  • Kia
  • Hyundai
  • Mitsubishi
  • Ford
  • Nissan
  • Suzuki
For other makes, it is a recommended option.

Highest quality equipment:

  • Equipment resource up to 300.000 km, guarantee 2 years or 100.000 km.
  • Best solution if you drive 15.000 per year or more and want to enjoy the highest fuel cost efficiency and driving comfort - quicker switchover to LPG, reduced fuel consumption, reduced power losses.

Lower costs:

  • Savings due to lower equipment costs, guarantee 2 years or 60.000 km.
  • The equipment features fewer components and, accordingly, lower component costs.
