After founding SIA Autonams in 1994, the company initially engaged in car marking and installation of imported security systems. Ongoing experience, initiative and a vision of a secure world were the main reasons why in 1996 the company made a decision to start manufacturing its own security systems.
In 1997, the company started manufacturing its own products, and the company's founders could not have imagine how important role would be played by the company's previous experience in car electronics. 7 years after intensive product development, manufacturing and distribution in Latvia, in 2004, the company started exporting products to EU and CIS countries. Thanks to the well-done “homework”, Skybrake systems quickly became popular outside of Latvia as well.
